The song was released on June 21, 2011 in conjunction with a live performance of the song on The Voice. The cover song I’m choosing this time is a promotional single “Galaxies” from electronic/synthpop group Owl City, which is taken from their upcoming new album “All Things Bright and Beautiful”. Having listened to a few singles released by them recently, I am really looking forward to this album now. FYI, it will be released in June. Other singles in this pack I want to mention are English indie rock band Arctic Monkeys’s new single “Don’t Sit Down ‘Cause I’ve Moved Your Chair”; a new mix version of boy band Big Time Rush’s single “Boyfriend”, featuring hip-hop duo New Boyz; Asian single Charice’s new single “Before It Explodes”; Idol judge Jennifer Lopez’s new single “Papi”; and new single “Boomerang” from American pop rock band Plain White T’s.

The cover song I chose this time is “She Makes Me Wanna”, a dance-pop song by British boy band JLS from their upcoming third studio album. It features vocals from American recording artist Dev. Lewis Corner of Digital Spy gave the song a positive review.Other songs I like to mention in this pack include Chris Brown and Justin Bieber duet single “Next To You”; American pop punk/synthpop band Cobra Starship’s new single “#1Nite (One Night)”; American actress and singer Debby Ryan’s new single “We Ended Right”, featuring Chad Hively and Chase Ryan; new single “Love How It Hurts” from London band Scouting for Girls; and Jamaican pop rap and reggae singer Sean Paul’s new single “Got 2 Luv U”, featuring UK singer Alexis Jordan.

Do you know that GLEE gets a new album coming. Yes, another one! Titled “Glee: The Music Presents The Warblers”, the album will be released a few weeks later. But one of the new single included in this album was released released last night. The song is a cover of Rod Stewart 1987 hit “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy”. It is also the cover song of my iTunes SiNGLES PACK this time. Another song I especially want to recomend is Christina Perri’s new single “The Lonely”. After the single she released last week called “Arms”, I’m so glad to see she goes back to the style which suits her more. Give it a go. Other new singles in this pack I want to mention are new single “You Are a Tourist” from American indie rock band Death Cab for Cutie; the Spanish version of Kat Deluna’s single “Dancing Tonight” called Bailando; American band LCD Soundsystem’s new single “Drunk Girls (Wooden Shjips Version)”; Pittsburgh rapper Mac Miller’s new single “On and On” and Mary J. Blige’s new single “Someone to Love Me (Naked)”.

The cover song for my iTunes SiNGLES PACK this time is Katy Perry’s new single “E.T.” released this week, which is the 4th official single from her studio album “Teenage Dream”. It was written by Katy Perry, Dr. Luke, Max Martin, and Ammo, and it was produced by the latter three. Unlike the album version, the single version and the music video will feature rapper Kanye West. Other new songs included in this PACK include new single “Who You Are” from British singer Jessie J; country singer Taylor Swift’s new single “Today Was a Fairytale”; and single “Me and Tennessee” from Tim McGraw & Gwyneth Paltrow, which is also a song from the recent movie “Country Strong”. FYI, the music video of Britney Spears’ single “Hold It Against Me” premiered last night on VEVO. I think the video is beautifully shot.

Let’s have one last iTunes Singles Pack this week. So Beyonce last weekend released the first new single from her upcoming new album called “Run The World (Girls)”. The “female-empowerment” song was written by Terius Nash, Knowles, Nick van de Wall, Wesley Pentz, David Taylor, and Adidja Palmer and was produced by Switch, Knowles and Shea Taylor. The song samples “Pon de Floor” by Major Lazer, following the same alternative hip hop-dancehall genres, mixed with the pop and R&B sounds of Knowles. The song’s title and lyrics contain an unapologetically aggressive message towards female empowerment. I don’t like this song very much, but I still choose it as this time’s cover song.

So starting from this week, besides iTunes Singles PACK and Glee Singles PACK, we have one more addtion in this weekly category. That’s right, I will start covering the studio recording version of American Idol 10. And before the show was released by scene group tonight (getting later and later nowadays), if you are interested, you can listen how the top 13 singers are doing in the studio recording. I have watched the show just now, I would say the singers seem to have pitch problem tonight generally. But I still root for my girl Thia Megia and my boy Jacob Lusk.

The cover song might sound familia for you if you have been watching “Teen Wolf”. “Sun of a Gun” is a single from Danish singer-songwriter and record producer Oh Land, taken from her second studio self-titled album. The song is also her US television debut, which she sang on David Letterman show. She also performed it later on Jimmy Kimmel show and Craig Ferguson show.Other songs I like to mention in this pack include American singer-songwriter Demi Lovato’s new single “Skyscraper”; American rapper J.
