Next, let’s take a look at some new releases this week. First, we have the iTunes Deluxe Version of American Hip-Hop trio Beastie Boys’s 8th studio album “Hot Sauce Committee Part Two”. Compared with the 16-track regular version, this one includes 2 more bonus tracks and a 30-minute star-studded short film “Fight For Your Right (Revisited)”.

Adele releases her eagerly anticipated second album. Most of the album was made in Malibu with the legendary Rick Rubin (Johnny Cash, Jay Z, Red Hot Chilli Peppers) and back in Kensal Rise in London with Paul Epworth (Plan B, Bloc Party, Florence). Adele cites Wanda Jackson, Yvonne Fair, Andrew Bird, Mary J Blige, Mos Def, Elbow, Tom Waits and Kanye West amongst others as key influences on “21″.

EMINEM releases Recovery just over a year after his last album, 2009’s Relapse. Relapse put the cap on an impressive ten years of recorded output, and contributed to EMINEM being the biggest selling artist of 2000-2009. In recognition of this, Neilsen SoundScan named him their Artist of the Decade. Relapse entered the charts at #1 and, at nearly double platinum, was the best selling rap album of last year. It also earned EMINEM his 11th Grammy award, winning in the Best Rap Album category. Relapse’s first single, “Crack A Bottle” from EMINEM, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent, soared to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 (Eminem’s second #1 after 2002’s “Lose Yourself”) and set a SoundScan record at the time of its release for opening week download sales (418,000). The album also spun off two other hits; the Top 10 “We Made You” and Top 20 Beautiful.

FNT released the new album from the alternative rock band There For Tomorrow titled ‘The Verge’. There For Tomorrow’s sophomore album The Verge, produced by Michael Elvis Baskette, symbolizes something much larger for the band than a new record. The Verge describes the passion and intensity the band felt while recording the project and how it came together so honestly and organically. Written in just a week’s time, There For Tomorrow have no regrets creating an album filled with the rawest material they’ve put out to date. To start our iTunes posts this week, let’s first take a look at some recent released album that we missed out. “Give Till It’s Gone” is the 10th studio album from American singer-songwriter and musician Ben Harper. In the album, Ben Harper collaborates with the ex-Beatle Ringo Starr, who co-wrote and played the drums in the tracks “Spilling Faith” and “Get There from Here”.[6] Another song from the album, “Pray That Our Love Sees the Dawn”, features American singer-songwriter Jackson Browne. The album includes 11 tracks.

2011 album from the West Coast rapper produced by Dr. Dre and Pharrell. Includes the single ‘Pot Of Gold’ (featuring Chris Brown). Coming straight outta Compton, LA, snarky Jayceon Taylor is the most popular West Coast rapper since the heydays of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. His major label debut The Documentary sold over 500,000 copies in its first week and was eventually certified double platinum.

Next week I Am The Avalanche will finally release their second album ‘Avalanche United’, it took them half a decade longer than we would have liked but it’s finally here. I Am the Avalanche is a punk rock band from Brooklyn, New York.

H3X released the upcoming debut album from former Floetry member Marsha Ambrosius titled “Late Nights & Early Mornings” which is scheduled to be released on March 1, 2011. The album includes production by Just Blaze, Focus and Marsha herself. I’ve been waiting for this one. The Grammy Award nominated “songstress” from Floetry, Marsha Ambrosius debut solo album LATE NIGHTS & EARLY MORNINGS will be released on J Records/SONY Music Entertainment March 1st 2011. I Hope She Cheats on You (With a Basketball Player) , was the 1st single released from the album. Her current emotional ballad Far Away is a hit and was #1 most added impact week at the urban adult format.

Def Leppard releases their first ever live album “MIRROR BALL”. The album also includes a 50 minute DVD that contains live performances. “MIRROR BALL” was recorded across the world over the course of many of the band’s sold-out dates and features all of the classic songs that have made Def Leppard one of the most respected and beloved power rock bands in the world. The album captures the group’s legendary concert experience at its thunderous best, bringing together live versions of classic Leppard hits. With their creative juices at full flow, the band has also added three new studio tracks: “UNDEFEATED,” “IT’S ALL ABOUT BELIEVIN’ and “KINGS OF THE WORLD”.

The album features “You Know You’re Right,” first released on the band’s 2002 greatest hits album, Nirvana, as well as the four singles from the band’s 1991 breakthrough album Nevermind: (Smells Like Teen Spirit, Come As You Are, Lithium, In Bloom) and three singles from their 1993 follow-up album In Utero: (Heart-Shaped Box, Pennyroyal Tea, Rape Me), plus one album track from In Utero (Dumb). The album also includes the single from the MTV Unplugged In New York album: (About a Girl) and the unplugged version of All Apologies, which was originally a single off the In Utero album.
