He is disappointed that the Count is not as evil as the old Count used to be. Also in the castle is Nanny, the nursemaid. She is big and dimwitted, being a hen and perpetually has her arm in a sling. Duckula is constantly being hunted by Dr. Von Goosewing, a vampire hunter, who is a German goose with ever-failing inventions.
