    I keep getting an error "support software companies buy the game"
    Is this some kind of cruel practical joke?

    Nvm i figured it out.
    What you do is.....
    Open the file called steambackup, then let it play its annoying music tell its done then at the end when that error pops up click the [X] not the [Ok], and it works fine:)

    Also put the crack in the game


    Also If you can't launch the application, look inside the "InstallUtils" folder (C:\Games\King Arthur\24401\InstallUtils) and install the following:
    - PhysX_9.09.0814_SystemSoftware.exe
    - vcredist_x86_SP1.exe
    - DirectX\DXSETUP.exe

    dont know what you excactly tried but i would recommend you to get "JDownloader" (freeware) and load it overnight...

    Of curse can can also take the long way and load every file through posting the link into the commandline of your explorer but that'll take you a while...

    Get JDownloader and you'll never ask for something else... mrgreen

    So many people come to thank egy and say its a good game but i wonder how many people actually downloaded and tried it cos i only see Compton01 and Wilbur Cobb has downloaded it only Compton01 seemed to made it work.

    I've just finished downloading the whole file and i cant seem to get it to work.
    1) I can't run steambackup IF i mount the iso onto a drive, they give me an error saying ' Random error :-] ' ( i use alcohol)
    2) I don't if its normal but when i extract the iso there is a folder called King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame, but all the files in there are 0 bytes

    Could someone offer me some help please, it took me hours to get this file downloaded

    Hey i cant get it to run myself, but i think you should use HJ split and join the files, then mount the ISO you've joined to a virtual file and try running 'steambackup.exe ' , see if it works for you. Thats where i got stuck

    Ok what you do is join with HJ split then...
    Put it on a virtual drive I use Magicdisc a freeware:

    Then if the autorun does not start browse the cd and run "steambackup.exe"
    Then it will play this annoying music blah blah I muted it.
    Then at the end it will come up with a error window that says something like help game companies buy the game. Do not click the Ok button but click the x. I had installed it into:
    "Local Disk (C:)/ProgramFiles/Steam/steamapps/common"
    Although I do not believe it matters where you install it.
    Then if the game does not work try going to:
    "Local Disk (C:)/ProgramFiles/Steam/steamapps/common/KingArthu
    r-TheRolePlayingWargame/InstallUtils"
    Then install the files within that folder.
    It contains:
    DirectX, Nvidia Physx, and Microsoft Visual C++2008 redistributable x86
    I did this on Windows 7 Ultimate x86.

    Also don't forget to put the crack into the game files from the cd. Which is containted in a folder called "Crack", all you have to do is copy and replace.

    Thanks for your help! I think i am a step closer now, however after i created a path 'C:\Games\.. ' and installed the steambackup.exe there all the files in the folder 'King Arthur - The Role-playing Wargame' are zero bytes. What did i do wrong? thoes this have to do with my downloading process?
