Hi all, I need help. Firstly;
1) I have download the XP Pro - sp3, so do i need a key or is this not required?

2) I have never done this before and not sure how to create the cd. Looking up im guessing I need to first make a boot cd?
3) Then just put in the XP Pro cd?
4) Will this work on both NTFS and FAT32?

Does anyone have a guide for me to use?

i think u have to try extracting the xp sp3 ISO file by Winrar then the extracted files will be the one to be burn on cd. do not include the main folder just the files and folders inside it. just rply if it work. or if you prefer not to make it a bootable disk, just press setup from the extracted files to install it directly.

when i try to install xp sp3 an error pops up saying that "ahvhbhwl.sys to C:\$WIN_NT$.~BT\ahvhbhwl.sys is missing". im currently runing on xp pro sp2. HELP!!!!

i already installed this windows xp and it works very good.

This is not a corporate edition but it is a Media center edition. there is a media center theme and windows sidebar here.

I did not make it a bootable disk but you can use clean install here. the only difference of making a bootable disk(I think) is that in a bootable disk, you can delete and also create partition from your hard disk. which is not important if do not not want to change your hard disk(divide) or that you are already satisfied with your existing hard disk....

Are you ditching Vista all together or do you plan to restore it later? If you want to wipe it out than I would use the SEAGATE tools and do a zero-out on the hard drive and that way you can start really clean without corrupt files. BUT that will wipe out Vista so figure out what the goal is first. Vista is a HOG and does fine on a quad-core but sucks if you run a single processor

All you need to do is extract it into a different folder, burn or mount the iso file, install [If you want to ACTULLY need to install it FROM the disc then i recommend burning it but in gonna use virtual pc. Save some partitioning!] and then use it! It's that easy. If you have any more questions then don't hesitate to ask me. I am going to download this now and install and i hope it works!
